The I Have A Gray Heart Movement

The I Have a Gray Heart Movement is a call to action designed to educate, inspire, and empower both youth and adults to address and dismantle the systemic roots of racism in our society.

 

At its core, the movement encourages individuals to move beyond black-and-white thinking and embrace understanding, empathy, and unity. Too often, division begins where perspective is limited. By choosing a “Gray Heart,” we commit to open-mindedness, meaningful dialogue, and genuine connection.

 

Taking the Gray Heart Pledge means making a conscious decision to foster honest conversations within our communities—especially with our youth—about the impact of racism and the importance of unity. It is through these conversations and commitments that lasting change begins.

 

We believe that changing one mindset has the power to influence many. Real transformation starts with a single decision.
